So, eco-friendly is also an energy star unit like Fisher Paykel is an excellent brand for efficiency and eco-friendly production. But, if you want to go one step above and beyond. Check out the Liebherr brand! not only is it efficient. I visited their factory about 10 years ago, and it was a green as green could get could only imagine what they are doing now. Very eco-friendly company. Tons of recycled materials are used in their products and in the manufacturing process.
Few possibilities
Is the fridge full of food? I only ask because if a fridge is not kept with a lot of food, then there are not enough things to absorb the cold, and it could freeze items.
Placement of items as some newer fridges have airflow on the back wall and if blocked those items could freeze.
Door seals? If a worn door seal will not allow the unit to cycle properly it could cause this as well.
Throw a manual thermometer in there to see if the temp is true. Move the frozen items to another shelf to eliminate placement with airflow.
I thank you! I am glad you mentioned the Elica Leone model. While it is a little deep, it’s a really well-made solid hood. It’s slightly noisier than the Best, but I found customers who bought it like the power the lights and the controls. Just make sure not too deep for you. If it is too deep, then the Best. I don’t love that GE for functional reasons.
Make sure it’s the S2 model as that is the most current.
Electric generally bakes more evenly. But if you are taking a double wall oven vs. stove, you will go electric as 99% of all models built into the wall are electric, so price and choices are there. If you are talking a range with the addition of convection and now air fry, it helps distribute the air evenly, so does put them on par. I like the GE Café double ovens in a regular range, and they make a great all-gas unit!
Hello Jessie just saw the name, send me the serial# as they have revisions and I can call Wolf to send one out, its an easy part to drop in but they wont ship without a serial as different production models may use a different switch. you have my email 🙂
I personally use a Crystal Dry model, and it does work and works great. With that being said, pop to open works too. Although I feel Crystal Dry is a better choice. The 800 is the top model but wait times are excessive, so if you can get a 500 now, I don’t see a reason to swap. But it is nice to dry with the door closed with kids. Sometimes they like to lean or push on the door that may hurt the mechanism. Glad you went with Bosch, both are excellent units.
If you can tell me the model # serial # I would be glad to help you find the part. How old is the hood? if within a few years Wolf many times will send out free of charge. If out of the warranty period I can still help but need a little more information since they make so many models.
Here is a link from Wolf were to locate a serial and model # on all their units.
