great question I always run into the blame game on these. HVAC guy I usually like as they will handle the make up air at the same time and hook up the duct work properly. If not use a certified appliance installer from the store but they may not be familiar with the make up air kit is what I have seen to often. The make up air kit uses a pressure switch so no need to hookup to the hood wiring itself.

So most inductions work very similar as the tech is the same for the most part. The Thermador brand use micro inductors so it is more efficient and allows you to place the pan in many places not an exact spot. Cleaning is the same as most flat tops you can use Weinman’s stove cleaner it is one of the best for glasstops.

try cleaning the condenser coils or check the fan it could cause the gap to stay hot if not dissipating the heat quickly enough.
