Make sure the oven is preheated to like 450, or as hot as you can before putting it on broil, and don’t put it in till temp is reached. I would skip the convection bake mode, lower the oven rack just below the middle. If possible, use a baking stone, and you should preheat that as well. Many times, people use convection modes, and with LG, that will sometimes cook so evenly, the top gets done before the bottom has a chance to crisp up nicely. In my oven, I sometimes bake on a lower rack, then swap to broil for the last 2 minutes, to brown up the cheese nicely. Always gets rid of the doughy moistness if that’s your thing!
That would be the LG LRFVS3006S, 30 cubic feet, door in door, craft ice, door-in-door! Loaded with features, it is one of the largest 36″ wide freestanding fridges on the market.
So Bosch is really the only true black stainless as it is not a coating. GE is the only True matte black. GE in black stainless, like most brands, is a coating, and it can scratch through over time and reveal bare metal. I would do Bosch if going black stainless or a full GE matte black finish in the cafe line. I have sold many Bosch units in black stainless, and the customers are very happy with the way it cleans. Cafe, on the other hand, will offer some unique handle options and product choices.
Tricky question because size and style play into this so much. Dispenser? No dispenser? Top freezer? Bottom? So I will push you towards the Fisher Paykel brand as they make many options today and are always one of the most efficient units. When I compare the energy usage (kilowatts) they are always on the lowest part of the chart regardless of what model so take a look at this brand!
So generally, I like to stick to a standard 24″ size dishwasher regardless of the household because they do not make many good 18″ units on the market. My top pick for a family if stainless or color is the KitchenAid line 604 or 704. Both series are heavy-duty workhorses with quality racks so when you say family I think of this unit!
So if you mean wall oven vs. a freestanding range? There’s a trade-off. Based on the kitchen design a stove can save a ton of space. As it’s an all-in-one, but then the oven is low under the counter line and generally one oven. I always prefer to do a wall oven when you can as we aren’t getting any younger, and it’s so nice to not have to bend to take things in and out. One thing to consider is 99% of wall ovens are electric today so not sure what you have but if gas you may want to lean towards a stove.
With a healthy budget, I would say the Bosch 800 Series or the Kitchen Aid 704. Here is a link to both of them. Each is dependable and has excellent loading capacities! Two of my favorites.
