    The best is the Panasonic inverter models for counter top and the LG for the over the stove.

    Over time the finish can come off and eventually rust and that is an issue if the dishes wearing them down. The best way is just to load it correctly and not force items onto the tines. The dw rack from each brand loads a different way so make sure you refer to the manual to at least have an idea of how they designed it. Once you see one rusting or the finish coming off you can try to rubber coat it or spray it with some rust preventative.

    The Bluestar 30″ gas pro stye range and the Wolf 30″ all gas are simple by design but will last. Two of the best made today.

    I have heard of this before it is a poor design but the trick i have found if the slide type of handle is to use a rubber mallet to pound them on there good and be aware to try and pull out towards you as time pulling on an angle could cause it to slide of the pin holding it. A good whack with the mallet should lock it in well. Bad overall design.

    That is not right as the magnetron has a 5 year warranty and that is the main reason they fail. Inverter micros do not last less and Panasonic is one of the best on the market.  Call them back and make them honor the 5 year! its in the book.

    Sub Zero 48″ is one of the best on the market but in a higher price point.  For a mid price point look at the GE profile 28 cubic foot as it is a great fridge with tons of room.
