That chart is misleading. It shows features for Star Sapphire that are missing from current models. The DWHD770CFx models do not have the 8th Speed (party) cycle from prior years, possibly other omissions. It shares a ton of hardware with the prior year DWHD770WFx series, although I’m happy to see Push to Open go away as they didn’t update the software to be able to disable it (2x still would trigger as family members stretched up to the cabinet above).

I’m dubious of the updated 42dB claim as I measured 49dB at 8 feet as the water hits the inside of the front door. I don’t see anywhere on their site that explains the methodology for that measurement (e.g. how many feet, what sort of install).

It’s really unclear what BSH is thinking with this year’s models, removing features like that. Our outgoing DWHD651JFP had that 8th cycle and seemed quieter.
