I also like the fact you can be rough on the surface and not have to worry about cracking or scratching a glass top. I have had gas in my home so I stuck with it. I can tell you with the advancement of induction cooking and the new lower price points it is definitely something worth looking into. I think electric induction is a fantastic method. Since you said “recommend” I have to go with gas but it is personal preference and what utilities the house can handle end of the day. Some counties and states in the US will be doing away with gas cooking down the road, I heard California already starting it soon due to its environmental impacts.
