GE would be the best for the money. Frigidaire Professional I don’t love the control panel on it as we have a lot of issues with it. Kitchen Aid is a great unit, but GE does make the best wall ovens and the most choices. Frigidaire Gallery would be another choice better than the Pro if you want to save some money as another option.
Repairmen love Speed Queen as it is easy to work on and very limited features. Very Heavy duty, the issue is it is expensive. But you pay for what you get. I will move from that for cost and tell you to buy a nice GE non-Profile with just knob controls. Simple is better here. It will cost less to purchase and maintain!
The best washer would be a unit with a pre-wash or auto soak. Many machines offer this today, but here is a unit I recommended 100%. It is the 7000 series from speed queen, and I have had a customer use it before for the exact reason!
Tough one runs into it a lot. No way to go below the lowest leg settings. If the counter is mica, I have had people raise the counter, then set it in and drop it. If a solid surface, it is really tight. The specs don’t lie, and the Bosch is more of a square outer shell by design. If he wants to get a little creative, I looked at a unit here, and the top is pliable metal. I think if the contractor is good and with some ingenuity, they can squeeze it in. I’m praying for you!
Great question and not a perfect answer. But in my experience, I have seen many people do stainless in the black kitchen. They have done primarily models that are 90% or more stainless, meaning no black doors, or black cooking surfaces. The more stainless, the more it will pop and look richer, vs. say, a black door that may take away from the cabinet itself. Kitchen Aid is a great option here. I have done only a few black cabinet kitchens over the years. One was a hi-end 48″ range from Wolf, and the other was all stainless from KitchenAid, and it looked great!
LG makes a massive top-loader at 5.5 cubics in the washer. It is one of the biggest made and has a matching dryer to go with it. They are highly rated and can hold a ton of laundry.
So a counter-depth fridge is designed to be flush and shallow, but it is easier to reach in the back. The downside is a family of 6. I am afraid it will be too small. If you have a spare fridge in the garage, it may work, but I would rather see you get a 27 cubic foot like a GE French door that will give the capacity needed in the kitchen for a large family.
Maybe do a 4 door that will keep it more organized?
