Normally, once mold has been seeded. It is hard to get off. You can change the gasket for about $125 if the machine is still in good shape. Keep in mind most machines require regular cleaning in that spot of Clorox wipes, etc., and should be kept dry at the end of the cycle. Brands like GE have solved the issue by using micro ban antimicrobial gaskets that won’t attract mildew or mold. So GE ultra-fresh is one of the best, and the newer LGs do have a clean cycle as well. Even with the advancements, I would still clean them once a week as preventative maintenance.

So overall quality of the GE, KitchenAid, etc. is definitely better as a brand. When talking induction, there is no better value than Frigidaire! They purposely price themselves lower as a value brand here. Since there is not a big difference on the induction technology from brand to brand. The Frigidaire cooking surface is on par with other brands. The overall stove itself is a few grades lower. Sell them a lot and really don’t have any issue at all. No reason not to get it if you like the styling. $2k is a massive price difference.

I am not a huge fan of this style of fridge, except! This is probably the best in this category. It’s a hidden GEM! You don’t see it around a lot, but I personally have sold them, and it’s a quality unit and has the newer compressor. That unit is a thumbs up from me. I hope you were good this year.

Electric ovens are safer. Particularly, the new induction ones are very safe. They won’t heat up if they don’t sense the pot and there is very little residual heat. Gas stoves have an open flame, as well as dangerous byproducts. So they would be the least safe, in my opinion. Electric is always a safer option.
