Technically electric ovens are notoriously better for baking. They won’t dry out the food as much and offer more even heating. This is why many chefs use electric ovens. Today many gas ovens come in convection, and the fan will help circulate the air evenly and eliminate hotspots. But I will still say electric overall if you are a big baker.

There is really only one that stands out above the rest. That is the Bosch they are full black stainless. KitchenAid would be the next best past that. They won’t peel, but they can scratch easily. Maybe just go to all stainless and call it a day. So many more choices.

I would, a dishwasher adds value to a home. They’re so convenient too, especially with large loads and glasses. Washing by hand will get old over time, enjoy the modern conveniences.

If you currently have the oven on the wall and not under the cooktop, then I think you will miss it. Yes, it is a space saver, but it’s also a back saver to have the oven in the wall. If they have wall space, many opt for a wall oven. There are so many excellent wall oven choices today! They include units with air fry, large capacities, built-in cooking centers, wifi, etc. It’s all a personal choice, but a wall oven seems to be preferred. Many times we see a stove and a wall oven. We have the best of both worlds, but then you lose even more space.

Top loaders tend to run like this
Basic no-frill models manual controls $400-$650
Advanced models no agitator electronic controls larger tubs $650-$999

    Front-loaders
Base models no steam smaller capacity 3.5-4.0 $649-$799
Steam 4.2 and larger, more advanced cycles and smart controls $800-$1299

That is the average range. I personally have used a front loader for almost 20 years and won’t go back. I feel they wash better and are more convenient to use. When I do the laundry, and that’s rare

It is all dependent upon the room and personal preference but since you did ask me I will always go with side by side as it is two separate pieces. Easier to replace easier to install easier to repair and many more choices!

To be fair probably nothing anymore.  Sub Zero brand in refrigeration I see people having them 20 years plus but past that maybe a Bluestar range in the cooking.  Most appliances today if you get 10 years you did well.  I will say if you twist my arm for a brand I will push you towards  Whirlpool and or GE.
