      1. We live in a house that is less then 1000 sq. ft.. We are looking at removing the wall between the living room and interior kitchen wall to make it an open concept living area. We went to an appliance store with the intent to buy and got thoroughly confused about what brands to look into. We want all 4 major appliances and wanted them in black stainless steel. We were told these scratch easier and void the warranty except for the higher priced brands that we can’t afford. Is this true? Is there an advantage for buying black stainless steel over regular stainless steel appliances?
      2. Whirlpool, LG, Samsung, GE, Kitchenaid, refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, range

If your going black stainless, make sure you get all from the same brand, so they match as everyone has a different finish. The best brand for Black Stainless is Bosch, they have a true finish. Even if scratched, it won’t show that much. I think you go stainless steel as you’re on a budget and will have so many more choices. Many stainless units now come fingerprint-free, so it’s really the best option. I would avoid Samsung as a brand service, and reliability has been poor.
