I have a 2 year old Maytag top load washer with agitator that has been giving the LF code on certain cycles (sanitize, and clean washer.) Water pressure in the house has not changed and all other appliances using water work fine including our 2nd GE stack washer and dryer. The Maytag washer is also constantly dripping water from the detergent dispenser, and if left sitting for 2 days will fill the basin about 1/4 of the way with water. Any idea what could be causing these issues? Thank you.

LF means there is a water issue and usually a kinked hose or clogged strainer but based on the fact you said there is water in the machine tells me your inlet valve aka solenoid valve is bad and needs replacing. When these go bad the first that happens is usually water fills in the tub as it doesn’t shut all the way off.  A bad valve will also throw the LF error code.
