This is for a Maytag LAT model washer. Since the brake removal tool is no longer available, can you replace the lip seal with the transmission completely removed. I did have the whole machine apart when I changed the stem seal and bearing. Would you use the belt pully to push it in. Does this work? I did view videos on line on replacing the lip seal with the transmission left in the machine with the unit tilted over on a wood block, but the brake removal tool is needed. My machine has been weeping oil for 7 years or more but still runs fine. It is more of a nuisance.
