      Hi AI,

Do you know why the Frigidaire discontinued the below two models recently?

      1. Frigidaire Gallery 22.4 Cu. Ft. Counter-Depth French Door Refrigerator:    FGHG2368TF:  https://www.frigidaire.ca/Owner-Centre/Product-Support/FGHG2368TF
      2. Frigidaire Professional 22.3 Cu. Ft. French Door Counter-Depth Refrigerator: FPBG2278UF:  https://www.frigidaire.ca/Owner-Centre/Product-Support/FPBG2278UF

Their newer versions have come with the model numbers: FGHD2368TF   and  FPBC2278UF  with reduced cubic feet and with a mandatory water dispenser on the door. The home depot, lowes has still the older models available. Should it be ok to buy a Discontinued model? What is your take?

I wanted to get every single cubic feet, that i am losing for counter-depth looks. Also don’t want water on a door as it has the most chances to get faulty in a Fridge.

I have no issue with it. I actually preferred the older units, then they did a model changeover. As long as they are new and not used and cone with a full warranty, then it’s a thumbs up from me. I actually wish we had more of those. They were great sellers and now impossible to get with all the parts shortages. Good Luck -Al
