After over a year of back and forth Whirlpool is going to replace our non working refrigerator. At this point I just want something that is going to keep food safe, nothing fancy. We can pick from the Amana, Whirlpool, Maytag, KA and Jenn Air brands. Can you recommend something that in the 2200 MSRP price range from those brands? Our last unit has not worked properly since delivery and I do not want to deal with that again.

I want a counter depth, stainless,  french door if possible. The one we currently have is a whirlpool  WRF560SEHZ00. It has not held a constant temp since purchase, has had all the parts replaced at least once and still the fridge freezes in parts then is under cooling in others. Empty or full it just does not keep all the food at a safe temp. I was looking at these two: KRFF300ESS or KRFC300ESS but I worry they are the same fridge I already had with another brand slapped on them. We have the cafe counter depth on order but it will not be delivered until the summer at best and we are getting this in trade for the defective one to tide us over.

They are similar as Whirlpool owns the KitchenAid brand. But with the 300 series, I had a few issues with them when they were around. It’s been over 14 months since we have seen one.

I appreciate you taking so much time to help me with this one. I just looked online and there is this one:  WRF540CWHZ it will cost us a little more out of pocket but it doesn’t have the same looking interior with the cooling up the middle like the others, so I am hopeful it will not have the same issues. Do you think it looks ok or do you have a suggestion on what would be better?
