Gas burner not igniting

      When I turn the burner on ( gas stove ) often it will not light and I then have to turn the burner off and on until it does light. What could be the cause of it not lighting automatically once it is turned on ?

      If you hear it clicking and it’s not lighting, I would clean around the igniter with sandpaper as they get covered in carbon and grease. If it is not clicking all the time, it’s a faulty igniter on the valve side. That would require service to replace it.
