Hi Al- still on the hunt for a commercial look 36” dual fuel range.
I would like to stay under $5000 and think I can come close with the Bosch 800 series or Fisher and Paykel, but I’m open to other brands. I’m hesitant to consider the Zline or any of the much lower priced models due to their “newness” in the market.
Also concerned about how long it will take for delivery in this market
Give this Bertazzoni a look MAST365GASXE. This is the Master Series the retail is under 4k and has some promotions on it right now. The Bosch is ok, but it’s made at the Smeg factory to their specs so not a true reason to buy a Bosch, in my opinion. Fisher Paykel I like the 9 series better but will blow the budget. Zline is actually very well supported from a customer service point of view in the lower price point you may want to give them a second look, but the Bertazzoni is a tried-and-true piece for many years now. Bertazzoni also will be the best as far as delivery times I see many distributors have them in stock. They make a 6 burner as well not far off in price so check em both out.
I’m looking at the same range you are in the market for…did you find anything? I’m seriously considering the Bertazzoni, but I want to make sure I get a self cleaning oven. If you have gotten yours what model # did you get?
I’d challenge you on the dual fuel requirement. It is adding unnecessary expense and complication. It’s mostly a myth that it is “better”. Commercial bakeries all use gas fired ovens, and turn out amazing results! Gas is better for 90% of the time in baking and roasting, as it releases water during combustion, and you don’t need any separate steam creation during cooking, as is required in many electric models for optimal crust production.
I am wondering about the 5th burner on the Fisher Paykal 36 inch range. It says it’s for a wok (which I don’t cook with) and has a unique grate design. Is that all it does? It would seem to really limit that 5th burner?
I’m in the process of getting a new range..36”, dual, LP, self cleaning, 5 burners, ball bearing oven shelves…any advice? I’m seriously looking at Bertozonni. I was all set to go with a Wolf until the $12,000.00 price made me think differently and the 12 month waiting period.
if anyone can give me a model number for the Bertozonni with all my requirements that would be very appreciated.
Look at the mastepriec series model MAST366DFSXTLP. The ball bearing rack options are model # 901471. If you go to the pro series, it will come with 6 burners and telescoping racks included.
