My Favorite Undercounter Beverage Centers at a Moderate Price Point ($1000-$2500)

Beverage centers make a really convenient addition to any kitchen. A beverage center helps alleviate the constant opening and closing of the refrigerator by moving some of the most frequent grab-and-go items like water bottles, soda bottles, and beer, plus any other quick-grab items to another location in the kitchen. Some beverage centers even have wine caddies as well.

When choosing a beverage center, it’s important to get the right one based on quality, installation, style, and of course, functionality. Below are three models of beverage centers I feel deserve recognition. I never review or recommend based on the price, I like to review based on what I think is a good value or a brand that solves a common or annoying problem.

Beverage centers are a spot where some people run out of budget and say, “I’ll just get a cheap one” then, three years later, they are swapping it out, so try to stretch the budget here. The three beverage centers that I hand-picked below are all units that can technically be freestanding. But are usually chosen as built-in under-counter beverage centers.

GE Café Beverage Center

Model # CCP06BP2PS1

GE Café Beverage Center CCP06BP2PS1

In the past, I was not a fan of the GE beverage centers. To me, GE has always made a beverage center that wasn’t a true, high-quality built-in. Then along came the new GE Café line of beverage centers, and it changed my mind. They put all of the great features into this beverage center. Of course, one of the best features is it matches the other GE Café appliances! But obviously, it can be used in conjunction with any mix of appliances. This unit has a ton of great intuitive touches that go a long way in the beverage center game. The rear wall lighting is a great feature, it has a smart layout, high-quality hinges are fully flush, easy to adjust, and easy to read control. It’s reliable and a top pick for me as well in the beverage center category.

Zephyr Beverage Center

Model # PRB24CO1BG

Zephyr Beverage Center PRB24CO1BG

Zephyr is well known as a vent hood brand. Then all of a sudden, they came out with an under-counter beverage center and took the market by storm. Their units hit a nice price point, are loaded with features, and are carried at most stores around the US. I give them a top rating due to their design and function. Reliability has always been there with Zephyr hoods, so in true Zephyr fashion, they passed it on to their beverage centers! This Zephyr model features a top wine rack, led lighting, slide-out shelves, tubular handles, great fit, and finish. It’s a high-quality beverage center.

XO Beverage Center

Model# XOU24BCGSR

XO Beverage Center Model# XOU24BCGSR

XO is a fairly new brand to the beverage center market. They started out in ventilation, and have branched out to many categories, now including beverage centers. What I like about them is they took their time to come to market. They saw all the good and bad features from all of their competition’s beverage centers, and what you end up with is a line of under-counter units that get cold!

Yes, cold is key here, soda/beer/other are cold to the touch, full-extension shelves, multi-colored lighting, 2 handles options, lock and key, and inset hinges. They are backed by their “Love It Or Leave It” warranty. They are a true built-in beverage center that will sit flush in your cabinetry. The only downside is distribution, they are heavily focused in the northeast. But I’m sure they will be expanding over time!

XO has so many models of beverage centers to choose from, but here is a popular one.
