If it’s older, it probably needs some Freon. It may have a leak. If the controls are set properly and still not cooling. I would call the service to add some Freon or check the thermostat.
So nothing is made like it used to be. Appliances today last an average of 10 years max. All your choices are great except the fridge. You may want to do a GE as theirs will last longer than the LG and have better parts and service. Bosch is a very low-maintenance brand, as is GE.
So if not the fingerprint-free type of fronts. Use an aerosol-based spray from brands like stainless steel magic or twinkle. Use them often, and they will put a coating on the stainless that helps resist fingerprints. The front will be a little oily, but it works! or make them wear gloves.
Assuming you will be cooking with gas, make sure the stove is propane convertible and basic. The fewer electronics, the better. Refrigerator I would do the GE top freezer that is garage ready. It is designed for colder temps and is very reliable with a simple thermostat. The dishwasher will be challenging as you need to make sure it doesn’t freeze or the pump can rupture. I would do the simplest models with knob controls. Try to avoid smart appliances. In cabins, simple is better. Probably best to do a brand like GE. Since parts are so universal and easier to find. Avoid brands like LG or Samsung here. If you have a larger budget, some of the pro-style ranges actually are pretty basic and designed to last!
Stainless is still as popular as ever, but colors like Matte White and Matte black seem to be doing really well in the marketplace in 2021 and will stay strong into 2022! GE Cafe is leading the way! The pandemic pushed other brands to focus on stainless, but I think we will see more matte finishes in the near future.
