A top mount fridge is always the most efficient, followed by a bottom freezer and then a side-by-side.

It could be two things. One is an inherent smell based on installation issues. You need to make sure the drain under the sink is looped high, or stale dishwasher water will always siphon back down the line. This is a very common problem that solves bad odor all the time. If the drain is installed correctly, then run a few Afresh dishwasher cleaning tablets twice a month. That will take the odor away and keep it from coming back as well.

At that price level the best for the least is the Zline 36″ model # RGSSNBR36 ,they make a decent stove and in that price there are like 8 options I feel Zline is the best.

I sell many appliances on Long Island to a place called “Oak Island.” They use solar panels mostly as there is no electricity there. I can tell you what we run into is the efficiency rating, so we look at amp draw and EER ratings.
Most often, the stove is LP, as is the dryer. So the fridge is the big issue. We use a brand called Summit a lot, and the Frigidaire energy-rated 15 cubic foot fridge has a real low energy draw. End of the day, look for the lowest amp draw.

That is usually one of two things.

    1. Check the drain tube on the back of the fridge. You may need to remove the panel. This tube will get clogged over time and can cause ice build-up.
    2. Check the door gaskets. Improperly sealed gaskets will cause warm outside air to enter. This will enable the ice to build up as well.

Many times too cold a temperature or not enough food in the refrigerator will cause improper cycling too.

Microwaves tend to last an average of 10 years. I think a built-in does make sense if you use it a lot so you can place it in a cabinet that is at a proper level for everyday use.
