    It depends on the brand you are talking about but most major appliance manufacturers offer a 1 year parts and labor warranty with any new product.

    I would run a cycle of distilled vinegar or Afresh dishwasher tabs 1-2 times a month and you will be fine. It will really help prolong the life expectancy.

    So many varying opinions on this but I really like the quality of Hestan cookware. It is pricey but worthy of a home chef!

    It is totally possible depending on the part. Smaller parts can be done but once you get into motors or compressors then it does require a trained professional as certain licenses are required when dealing with things like Freon.

    It is not necc, just make sure you have the proper clearance so the DW fits properly in terms of height. Some people floor after the DW is installed and then its impossible to get in and then out.

    Average lifespan is about 10-12 years on a Dishwasher, maintenance ideally would be to run a cycle of distilled vinegar or afresh dishwasher tabs once a month to clean  the lines out, the 800 series from Bosch and the Kitchen aid 604 or 704 are the tops in efficiency and quality.

    So when purchasing one obliviously look for an energy star rating, if you already own it then clean the coils monthly allow for air clearance on all sides for air flow and keep the house at a average temperature. Try not to open it as much by standing in front of it deciding what to eat like we all do. So much air loss is done at that point. If you follow these steps you will help lower your energy bill!
