Would you recommend the Wolf 48” gas range or the Thermador 48” gas range (Pro Harmony), both with a charbroiler? I was surprised that the Wolf range doesn’t come with any temperature indicator. You simply turn the knob and wait. There’s not even a line on the knob to help pinpoint exact temperature. Seems strange to spend so much money on an appliance to not know what temperature your oven is at. Thermador also has the promotion now where the purchase of a range and a refrigerator gives you a free vent and dish washer. Economically, the Thermador seems to win and it has a screen that shows oven temp. I’ve also heard that the Wolf oven takes a long time to heat up (would love to know how much longer), however, once at temperature, bakes beautifully. Wolf is supposed to be the best in class and I know it will retain its value. I use burners more than an oven and it feels like the burners on the Wolf are more powerful. I’m so torn!

Thermador is a better value but I own the all-gas Wolf and love it. First of all the charbroiler is gas infrared and will cook much better than the Thermador as it’s an electric grill. So for grill users, Wolf blows Thermador away. The Thermador will have a more accurate thermostat for baking, I do agree, and the star burners are pretty easy to clean. The Wolf you set to a temp and when the light goes out on the panel it reached the setting. I will say it’s not 100% accurate to dial in an exact temp but I find it heats up really well and has been trouble-free for me when the Thermador’s digital panel has had a few issues lately. Two top stoves, so you can’t go wrong, and the Thermador promo is awesome. But if you’re a grill person, nothing beats the Wolf grill, it’s like a real BBQ indoors.  Good luck, either way, two top-rated stoves!
