Why does my front load washer go off balance when I wash blankets and bulky  stuff? My son-in-law even screwed in a short piece of wood in the floor in front of the wassher and it still went over that. This washer is less than a year old. My old washer never did that. Do they not make washers to handle throws and blankets anymore. They get so heavy and full of water. I have to put them back on just spin again one or two times. I try to reposition it, but it doesn’t  help sometimes. Thankyou

What brand it is ? some have auto balance feature where it will sense the machines load pause redistribute the load by moving back and forth then re start the wash. I am curious what machine you have.  The best thing is to actually was more items together vs just one blanket etc. This will help auto distribute the weight. You can add some ant vibration rubber feet to the bottom as well. There is a new product on the market that attaches to the corners of the bed sheets and blankets that assist with this as well.
