Many washers at 3.8-4.2 claim they can hold one, but I like to recommend a 4.5 because the comforter needs room to move around to really get clean. So fitting is one thing, and functionality for cleaning is another. So 4.5 min is what I like to suggest but have sold many 4.2 that customers claim work just fine. I like Maytag in a front loader but not that much in a top loader. I really like the LG in a large top loader. Not sure if you mean top or front, but try to find 4.2 or larger, and you will be fine.
