most top loaders today have that issue, a front loader or horizontal axis machine wont but a top load on a high spin centrifugal force will end up pushing the bedding to the outer edge of the tub and bunching up. Try a lower spin speed and make sure you place it in as evenly as possibly because they retain a lot of water then cause the tub to shift around. Some newer LG models have an auto balance feature that works well. It will stop mid cycle spin back and forth to try and re-balance the load.,
