Upgrading All Kitchen Appliances And Looking For Long-lasting, Low Maintenance Brands. Looking At: Fridge- Lg, Stovetop-bosch, Oven-bosch, Dishwasher-bosch 800-series Or Kitchenaid, Micro (over The Cooktop)- Whirlpool. Are These Good Bets? All Our Current Appliances Are 20- Year Old White Ge. I’ve Never Replaced Appliances Before.

So nothing is made like it used to be. Appliances today last an average of 10 years max. All your choices are great except the fridge. You may want to do a GE as theirs will last longer than the LG and have better parts and service. Bosch is a very low-maintenance brand, as is GE.

Here is a link that gives average life spans.

      Thank you!! So, 3 things:

      1) Do you think Bosch over GE on the fridge? We were looking at a Bosch, but it is so small. We want the water/ice feature snd are stuck w counter depth (for the most part). I’m trying to figure out how to maximize capacity. Was looking at the French door style. I like the idea of the convertible external snack drawer, but not sure if that decreases capacity. Seems handy for kids to grab snacks.
      2) Bosch v kitchen aid dishwasher? No diff re using basic liquid detergent or any complicated maintenance routine, right?

      3) Ant Bosch cooktop/oven you like in particular? We need the 30”.
