I have a 10 yr old GE profile Microwave/convection oven. The microwave mode stopped working, but the convection mode still works fine. Is it worth fixing?
That would tell me the magnetron probably went as that is what runs the microwave part. Based on the age and the cost of the part, and the labor to install it. I would buy a new one at this point. 10 years is a solid run for those units.
