When we moved in a couple years ago we kept the 1yr old Korean made Kenmore 111.73025711 fridge that the last owners had. Been having issues with it freezing up ever few months. We have to manually defrost in order to fix the issue. Sometimes the fix works for 2 week, sometimes 4ish months. Loosing food in the process.

The current fridge is French door style but my other half prefers the older side by side style. But reliability comes before all, then price, then side by side. So it’s not a deal breaker to go with another style.

If anyone has any suggestions I’d love to hear from you.

If you want something good and reliable, the side by side is the best for this next to a top freezer. Especially if you need ice and water on the door. In a side-by-side, the icemaker is where it belongs, in the freezer section. Just makes sense!
Here is a unit that is very reliable and fits the dims.
