I currently have a front load washer, and am tired of mold developing on the seal! No matter how well I wipe it down and air it out, it still gets gross. 🙁 I haven’t used a top load washer in a long time. I am buying a house soon and am trying to decide between a front load or a top load. An obvious pro to the front load is it can be stacked with the dryer to take up less space. I’m still unsure which I should go with, or if there’s unknown cons to the top load that I haven’t considered yet. Any input? Thank you!

If you are worried about the mildew etc it is still an issue there are some great preventative maintenance things you can do to avoid it like running a clean cycle of bleach periodically or using Afresh washer tabs but the best option is the new GE ultra fresh machines they solved the odor problem!
