I’m looking for a new electric slide in range to purchase, and it must have double ovens. I’ve been heavily looking at two GE models-one has wi-fi capabilities and the other does not and there’s around an $800 price increase for the wi-fi GE profile model. It is also more attractive-has no knobs and a sleeker look. Should I purchase the cheaper of the two that does not have wi-fi capabilities, or spring for the Profile model with the better design and the wi-fi functionality? Or should I look at a different slide in double oven range all together? Thanks in advance!
Great question. Personally I like the knob control better over the flat panel So if wifi wasnt as important to you save the $800 yes the profile is sleeker etc but $800 is a big spread..
Do you like the knob control for the same reason my husband does-more of an “old reliable” design and not reliant on a chip or board that can go out?
I really like the idea of the wi-fi but I’m not sure I reeeeeallly need it/would use it as much as I think I would. I’ve got a very busy family, so I know I would sometimes. But how often do you really need to control your oven while out and about?
I just realized the JSS86SPSS model does not have high heat self clean. It only has steam clean functionality. I’m gonna spring for the Profile model with self AND steam cleaning plus wi-fi. I’m not too excited about the touch screen controls instead of knobs though. :-/
