Best appliance finishes

      What is the best and most durable appliance finish? There are several stainless types but I have a tiny kitchen area worry about accidentally scratching the finish. Are colored finishes more forgiving? My current (40 year old) refrigerator has what seems to be a vinyl coating that seems to wear well.

      Stainless steel will show dings, dents, and scratches. But it is still the most popular. Frigidaire makes one of the best fingerprint-resistant finishes on the market. As far as the best finish, good old-fashioned white seems to be the easiest to clean and easiest to hide a scratch ding or dent on.
