The washer is a huge 5.0 cubic foot with a matching 7.8 cubic foot dryer! Bigger isn’t always better, but in this case, it is! They’ve added a feature call ultra-fresh which means your dryer doesn’t smell anymore! They also have a fan to assist in venting the unit in addition to adding microban antimicrobial features throughout to inhibit mildew, mold, etc. What more can you ask for? This washer gets clothes clean and is reliable. The dryer, to me, matches so it makes sense here and it’s still a very high-quality unit with well-made components. I’ll tell you what- when my machine breaks I’m buying these!

If you want to kick it old school, these are for you! To get it out of the way, here is what people don’t like about Speed Queen. They say Speed Queens are small, have manual controls, limited on features and look like my grandmother’s machines. My response is, “Okay…and your point?” While you’re at the laundromat waiting on your brand “S” to be fixed I’m still doing my wash. They even removed the lid lock this year so that’s another plus. As I always say, K.I.S.S. (Keep It Simple Stupid), and these machines are exactly that! They make a few versions and they even have an electronically controlled model which I rate higher. I rate them higher because in 20 years instead of saying, “Let’s buy new ones, these are broken,” you’ll say, “Let’s buy new ones, these are old!” They generally sell via a network of independent retailers so you won’t typically see them in mass merchants. This is purposeful and very smart. Let the smaller store educate you on them and know that this is not just another lined-up appliance. Speed Queen: yes, please!

The washer and dryer both have clear doors, so if you’re bored, you can watch the wash! Since these came out, I’ve sold em people love them, and the repair rate is low! What more can I say or do?
