AGA has been making some very high-end ranges for quite some time now. They were bought by Middleby a few years back. Middleby also owns Viking appliances and has started to become a mainstream brand. I want to talk about their 48” all-electric induction ranges, as it is such a unique piece.
For so many of us, gas is not an option. So there are limited choices while looking for an electric range outside of 30″ or some scattered 36” units. But now, there is a 48″ range. There’s a light at the end of the tunnel! AGA is ahead of the curve with its Mercury and Elise models. They are not only making cool-looking electric ranges, but they feature full induction tops in a 48″ size. They come in varying colors and are offered in a dual fuel too. So, if you have a big kitchen and want to fill up the space, but are stuck with electricity, give these a try. They cook as good as they look.
The 48” Mercury Induction Model features an extra-large, 7-Mode Multi-Function Oven, as well as a second extra-large, true European convection oven.
The Glide-Out Broiler System with Full Broil and Half Broil mode provides complete coverage with adjustable heights and an extendable gliding tray spacious enough to cook six 6-ounce steaks at once.
Nine eye-catching hi-fi Style Controls deliver precise power to each burner and oven with stereo-like grace.
The ceramic glass surface cooktop with five induction burners and integrated capacitive touch controls efficiently utilizes, transfers, and captures 90% of the energy generated. Compared to only 55% with that of a traditional gas burner.
Which of these fabulous ranges would you want in your home? Let me know in the comments.
