With the holidays approaching, sales and deals are bound to appear, but do they really save you the most money? Is there a better time of year to make big purchases when it comes to appliances?
The short answer is, yes – one of them! Black Friday and July 4th are the two very best times of the year to buy appliances, where the sales are really worth your time and attention.
The best part about Black Friday sales these days is that they actually last far longer than one day and don’t always require you to get up at 4 AM to purchase an appliance in person. Instead of trying to hit the doorbusters, I definitely recommend doing a little research to find the best Black Friday sales for the appliances at the top of your wish list.
It’s also important to note that a lot of big appliance brands run end-of-year package promotions. So if you’re buying more than one item, it’s definitely something to consider. Here are a few we’re helping promote for the end of 2021:
Independence Day is another opportunity to get a great deal on your appliance purchases. At this time of year, dealers are paying less for the merchandise which means they’re more likely to put items on sale. One pricing analysis by Consumer Reports says that you can sometimes get an even better deal than on Black Friday during this time.
A few other holiday weekends that you may see similar sales include President’s Day, Memorial Day, Labor Day, and New Years.
Now, of course, if you need to replace something immediately, don’t torture yourself! If it’s an essential item, like a dishwasher, this might not be worth the wait. But, if you’re building a kitchen or have a few appliances that can wait a few months, this is worth your time.
