Speed Queen Front Loader Washer vs top load with agitator

      In the market for a new Washer and Dryer.  Just learned that Speed Queen has a front load washer option but I don’t hear much about it.  Need reliability and good cleaning.  Also, would the front loader get a king comforter clean or still too small a capacity?

      The front loader will have an excellent washing action and hold a king-size comforter with no issue. I have personally used a front loader for my king bedding for years with no issues. Speed Queen is much better known for their top load agitator models as they are simple with no-frill features but built like a tank. The issue is, you don’t hear about them a lot is because their distribution method is unlike other brands. They keep it tight to smaller, local-type stores vs. big box stores, as they want the story told of why to buy it vs. a mass merchant selling it to the wrong consumer. It’s an excellent brand, and I highly recommend it. Front or top loader speed queen laundry is some of the best out there!

        Al – is there any concern for mildew/smell with the SQ front loader?

        i don’t have room for the GE ultra fresh pair and need to keep to 27″ wide for each of the W and D.
