What are the pros and cons of a range with coil burners versus a flat top range?

Coil burners are less expensive to purchase easier to replace parts. They’re self-service but are slowly becoming a thing of the past. They are harder to clean, and take longer to cool down. Glass tops use similar burners that radiate the heat through the cooktop, so response time is a little slower. But they are easier to clean, more modern looking, and most manufacturers offer them in more deluxe features like larger ovens, warming drawers, Air Fry, and double ovens. Most people have moved away from coil tops and many brands have stopped manufacturing them. Al says get a smooth top and if you want the next level look at induction! Great technology.
