Always better to buy a package when feasible. This is due to a few factors, such as package pricing and aesthetics. For some brands like Thermador, the more you buy, the more you save. Always nice to have a matching handle or the same stainless. Now I have no issue mixing in a pocket handle dishwasher or a panel ready fridge when the size becomes an issue, so it’s not set in stone. But it is better to try and match when possible.
